...unless you're stalking a particular celebrity and you wanna have the advantage over them. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Check out this article. I couldn't help but find it interesting.

Fears and Phobias of 25 Big Celebrities

What are YOU afraid of? We all have our fears--heights, spiders, the dark. You may not believe it, but even rich and famous celebrities have common, everyday fears just like the rest of us.

Fox News reports fears, phobias and fixations have plagued Hollywood for years. In the old days, this was hush-hush. Now we all talk about it. "Bizarre preoccupations and phobias have been around a long time," Jean De Niro, professor of culture and communications at New York University, told Fox reporter Hollie McKay. "The only difference is that nowadays we can discuss them openly, and medics have given every little fear a name of its own."

What scares the stars?

* Jennifer Aniston, Cher, Michael Jackson and Whoopi Goldberg all have a fear of flying.
* Billy Bob Thornton is afraid of antique furniture. "I get creeped out and I can't breathe and I can't eat around it," Thornton once told Sky News. "I've had friends tell me that maybe I was beaten to death with an antique chair in a former life." He's also afraid of bold colors.
* Pamela Anderson fears mirrors. (Does that mean she's afraid to look at her reflection?)
* Johnny Depp, Daniel Radcliffe and Sean "Diddy" Combs are frightened of clowns. "Something about the painted face, the fake smile," Depp said in 1999 when he was promoting the film "Sleepy Hollow." "There always seemed to be a darkness lurking just under the surface, a potential for real evil."
* Orlando Bloom is scared of pigs.
* Country singer Lyle Lovett is terrorized by cows.
* Scarlett Johansson is frightened of cockroaches.
* Nicole Kidman fears butterflies.
* Justin Timberlake gets the chills from snakes, spiders and sharks.
* Uma Thurman is claustrophobic and fears confined spaces. "There was no acting required. Real screams available," she told reporters about the scene in "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" where she is buried alive in a coffin. "It was horrific. Nobody wants to live that experience."
* Kim Basinger and Daryl Hannah are just the opposite, fearing wide, open spaces.
* Carmen Electra, who starred in "Baywatch" is actually scared of water because she can't swim. She once told Sky News that just being near water can give her a panic attack.
* TV's vampire-slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar has a very real fear of graveyards, so real that she refused to film "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in a real one.
* Rock star Sheryl Crow says heights and hearing "scary" noises frighten her the most.
* Madonna is afraid of thunder.
* Christina Ricci is afraid of indoor plants.
* Matthew McConaughey is scared of tunnels and revolving doors.
* Jennifer Love Hewitt is afraid of the dark and monsters under the bed.

The celebrity with the most phobias is...
Woody Allen. He's afraid of insects, sunshine, dogs, deer, bright colors, children, heights, small rooms, crowds, cancer and anywhere except Manhattan.

What scares you? A Harris Poll national survey of 4,000 adults and 1,600 kids revealed that 56 percent of American adults admit they now fear or once did fear monsters. The survey found that 86 percent of adults and 91 percent of youngsters admitted to being very afraid of something. Nearly one in five adults also said they are scared of more things now than they were as a child.

--From the Editors at Netscape

<lj:music>Hearing Pedro play Kingdom Hearts 2 in the living room.</lj:music>

Yoinked from elpedrososama.

Pedro created a meme in which he listed the top ten albums that made an impact on his life and gave a brief, yet detailed account of each album's personal effect on him.

10. Radiohead: Kid A

I remember when Pedro first introduced me to this album in October 2004 when I traveled from Savannah to Plattsburgh to visit him. I accidentally brought the CD back with me to Savannah and, upon discovering that I had it, I listened to it in its entirety. I was truly amazed, not only by Pedro's depth and vastness of his musical tastes, but by the obvious electronic influence of Kid A.

This is an album that stimulates the human psyche on more levels than most albums presently out on the market do. It's incredibly expressive, both musically and lyrically; perhaps a better term should be "vocal effects" since, half the time, the listener has no idea what Thom Yorke is trying to sing. And yet, this aspect doesn't make Kid A any less powerful, any less accomplished, than it is. Though the entire album is a true work of electronic art, my songs of note are the almost-woeful echo of "Everything In Its Right Place," the steady drive of "The National Anthem," and (my absolute favorite) "Idioteque," which is a song that somehow seduces me into a trance whereby the music and Thom's cries dictate how my body moves.

For any fan of electronica, Kid A is an album that you can't just listen to; you have to absorb it.

9. Daft Punk: Discovery

First off, I love the album cover: a sort-of liquid metal splattered on a black background, forming the artist's name. Simple enough, right? Take a closer look at the letters. Their three-dimensional structure hints at the rainbow of colors and brightness underneath. Only here on the cover is this aspect of the album subtle. Once you hit "Play," the sheer awesomeness of the music fully explodes, carrying you away with it.

Just as a rainbow tells you the story of its colors, whisking you up and down in a roller coaster of creative expression, so, too, does this album share with you its own story of love, happiness, despair, struggle, and triumph. With the aid of the accompanying animé, Interstella 5555 became the first house musical with all of Discovery as its score. The film provides visually what you already feel when listening to the music alone; it simply gives you beautifully artistic eye-candy to enjoy along with the album.

I enjoy this entire CD so much that I rather hate saying which songs are "the best" since all the tracks are on equal footing. But I will say this: "Crescendolls" is one of, if not the, most driven songs on here, "Superhereos" is a true favorite since Daft Punk managed to successfully cross Barry Manilow into house techno territory, and "Something About Us" is the definitive love song of this concept album.

What else can be said? Daft Punk is a God among techno artists.

8. Daft Punk: Coachella

The performance Daft Punk did at the Coachella Festival of 2006 was genius, pure and simple. The French duo not only did fantastic mixes of their own songs, they did so with the tracks from all three of their albums (Homework, Discovery, and Human After All) as well as remixes of their songs done by other artists, such as the sample of Daft Punk's "Technologic" done by Missy Elliot. You can tell that they infused their enthusiasm for the art into their performance; the audience fortunate enough to be attending the concert knew it, felt it, and were thriving on the energy exploding all around 'em.

In my opinion, there are few artists out there that can sound just as awesome live as they do in a studio, if not better. Daft Punk is, without a doubt, one of those artists that's blessed with such capability.

7. Dave Matthews Band: Before These Crowded Streets

Though not a concept album, Before These Crowded Streets takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions similar to Daft Punk's Discovery, albeit with more acoustics. The emotional highs and lows of this album are distinct and uniquely expressed through Dave's rather impressive vocal range, Boyd Tinsley's violin, Carter Beauford's drums, saxophonist LeRoi Moore, prodigy bassist Stefan Lessard, guest guitarist Tim Reynolds, as well as the cameos from such artists as Alanis Morissette and the Kronos Quartet. From the almost-cautionary bass lines of "Don't Drink the Water" to the carefree joy of "Stay (Wasting Time)," from "Crush" with its hearfelt expression of love to the lament that is "The Dreaming Tree," Before These Crowded Streets has so much to give to its listener and it's well worth the time spent lending an ear.

6. Chris Vrenna: the American McGee's Alice soundtrack

No album has been more successful in enthralling me and chilling me at the same time. Just as the game is amazing in its storyline, visual effects, and blood-soaked action, so is the soundtrack an amazingly creepy compliment. Chris Vrenna's score is impeccable in its use of children's toys and other objects for sound effects which enhance the twisted chords and melodies suited for the game. The ticking of a clock, the chimes of a music box, doors opening and closing all add to the foreboding atmosphere Vrenna's musical talent creates.

This is a musical work that I highly recommend for use at Halloween. Such would be perfect as a subtle backdrop for a haunted house to entertain and creep out your family, friends, and neighbors. Since I am an avid Halloween lover and aficionado, this soundtrack is one that I keep close to my heart.

5. Wojciech Kilar feat. Annie Lennox: Bram Stoker's Dracula soundtrack

This soundtrack appeals to my classical tastes in their darker aspects. Composer Wojciech Kilar creates an absolute masterpiece with each and every track done for this remarkable film. Though generally chilling throughout, each piece successfully conveys what it needs to; from "Dracula - The Beginning" with its ominious origins to the lighter chords of "Lucy's Party". "Love Remembered" and "Love Eternal" are the twins, as I call them: two beautiful counterparts, exquisite and aching in their expression of the centuries-old love between Dracula and Elizabeta/Mina. Annie Lennox's "Love Song for a Vampire" is the only lyrical piece on the soundtrack, but it's the underrated gem, in my opinion. Her voice is melodic in such a way that it compliments Kilar's score that precedes it and she provides the perfect musical epilogue for Dracula. It touches me so deeply, to the very core of my being, that I honestly cannot praise this song enough. I dedicated this to my beloved Pedro years ago and it holds true more than ever now.

I think that any lover of classical music will be taken aback by the depth of Kilar's work and any lover of Annie Lennox will be appreciative of her contribution to the soundtrack.

4. Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty soundtrack

This film and its soundtrack has been with me for as long as I can remember. Sleeping Beauty is, perhaps, my all-time favorite out of all the Walt Disney animated full-length feature films and the animation, story, characters, and most certainly its music will forever stand the test of time.

The animation (supremely done by the Disney animators, led by production designer Eyvind Earle) enhances Tchaikovsky's original score for the ballet and Pyotr was extraordinary at telling Princess Aurora's story through the composition. The Berlin Symphony Orchestra takes credit for helping to bring Tchaikovsky's work to life through Disney's animated re-telling. No one track can stand higher than any of the others, for each piece is exquisite and breathtaking.

This soundtrack is one that I treasure. Not only does it appeal to my liking for classical music, it feeds my nostalgic love and respect for Disney animated classics, superb storytelling, and childhood dreams and fantasies.

3. Dream Theater: Metropolis 2 - Scenes From A Memory

I have to give credit to my friend, Ivan, in Brazil for introducing me to this band and, particularly, this album. I was blown away upon first hearing it and the power of its music and lyrics have stuck with me years after.

Dream Theater has been a formidable force in progressive rock since 1989 and they've been breaking ground in the music industry since. Each and every album they've released has made a hell of an impact and I must say that, so far, Metropolis 2 has impacted me the most. This is a concept album telling of a two-act murder mystery that's being recalled during a session of hypnotic dreaming. The lyrics are just as powerful as the music that drives them, speaking of life, death, and love, conveying the very essence of the emotions involved. If there has ever been an album that could inspire in me a "musical orgasm," it is this.

Though every song plays an integral part in the entire story, certain ones capture my interest particularly. "Overture 1928" is a powerful instrumental piece that helps to set the stage after the introduction provided by "Regression." "Fatal Tragedy" is epic in telling the murder of Victoria while "Through Her Eyes" is the heartbreaking lament of her surviving love. "The Spirit Carries On" is a beautiful song of hope, the bittersweet knowledge that the soul doesn't completely die when the body expires. And "Finally Free" is the epilogue needed to draw this torrid, tragic tale to its conclusion.

Any fan of progressive rock will hold this album in very high regard. I know I do.

2. Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon

Yet another exceptional album that Pedro introduced me to. Every time I listen to it, I'm reminded of when I first heard it. Pedro and I were on Amtrak to Yonkers from Plattsburgh to spend time with his family. I remember being so excited because it was my first train ride and I was getting the chance to meet his folks for the first time. It was during that train ride that I realized why Pink Floyd was and still is so highly respected in the rock music industry. From start to finish, I was amazed by what Pink Floyd accomplished with Dark Side of the Moon. This was an album that cemented itself in iconic, legendary status (and rightfully so!) and was both of its time as well as far beyond it. It's truly a timeless piece.

Keep in mind that Pink Floyd practically stepped into the realm of techno with its use of an early version of a synthesizer in the song "On The Run"; their employing of such a device precedes the use of it during the New Wave era of the 1980s and techno's emergence in the late 80s/early 90s. Though psychedelic and suitable for the time period in which this album was created, it also was incredibly innovative. The entire work of Dark Side is so focused on musical texture, mood, and political expression that it defies boundaries of time, whether concerning typical styles of sound and music of the era or perspectives of society specific to the period. Again, with this album, it's so difficult to single out any songs since all are of equal importance. I have no one favorite on here; each song speaks to me with its own message, providing its own feel.

This album, more so than most, gives me hope that real music, true music with meaning and power and soul will never die. After all, we need some sort of hope to get us through the slobbering, emo, pop-coming-out-of-radio's-ass, no-real-talent crap that's rammed into our heads via the air waves, MTV, and VH1 nowadays.

1. Lee Blaske: Behind the Day - Journey of a Vampire

What can I say about this album?....

It's a true masterpiece of music, of art? That it beautifully captures the mood of dark, supernatural 18th-century romance? That, in my opinion, no album could express vampire love and passionate wanting as perfectly as this?....

All of these statements are true for me.

I've never had an artist's work call to me so clearly and cut me straight to my core as Lee Blaske has with Behind the Day: Journey of a Vampire. This is one of those albums in which I can't adequately express all that it evokes from within me, all that it makes me feel, all that it speaks to me....all I can do is feel it and know it deep within my heart, my soul. I can't vocalize it. The vast majority of people will never understand how Lee Blaske's work makes me feel and I accept that. I can't expect people to understand when it doesn't speak to them the same way.

I'm not sure what else I can try to say about this album. Perhaps I shouldn't try. Maybe what I said was enough....enough, at least, to let others know that Behind the Day is special to me, special beyond explanation.

So far, work at Sears is coming along well. Last Friday, I was assigned a register to use on my own and have been trying to familiarize myself and get comfortable with using it. Most transactions are easy for me to handle such as regular purchases, returns, exchanges, and some other things. I still have yet to complete any credit applications and, though we get a very small commission from them, I'm not exactly killing myself over getting customers to try to apply for them. (A) I don't like pushing customers since I myself don't like being pushed and (B) we have to get 5 credit apps in a month even to be paid for them, and it's $2 per credit app, I think. Again, it's a very small commission. If I do manage to get 5 or more in a month, then yay, I'm happy about it. But if I don't, it's not exactly gonna keep me from sleeping at night. Other than that, I'm learning by doing and by asking others for help when needed. I think (and I hope!) that I'll be happy with this job for a while.

In other news, I went earlier this afternoon to pay some more on the headboard and bed frame that Pedro and I have on layaway. I can't wait to pay it off completely and to have it here in our bedroom to use. Once we have it, I'll finally put the bed skirt on so it won't drag on the floor as it would if I put it on now.

Malachai is improving each and every day. I'm so happy about the fact that he not only has more energy (and a lot of it!), but we can't feel his rib cage and other bones anymore. He's getting quite better at eating and he's fattening up well. He's even gotten to the point of having so much energy that he chases after and plays with Boo and has similar spastic qualities that Hunter has. He's almost constantly bouncing about and darting like the ferret. It's so cute to watch.

Oh, before I forget, I'm so happy and proud of Jamar!! He got the job at Brooks (and rather quickly, too.....that bastard) and he starts working third shift tonight. From what we understand, within a couple of weeks, he'll be promoted to Assistant Manager!!! I truly hope and pray that this comes to pass because that store needs a lot of organizing and I think that some of the associates need better attitudes when servicing customers. Yay for Jamarmaru!!! ::showers him in confetti::

Ok, I'm gonna go for now and hang out with the boys at least until Terri wakes up so we can go food shopping and get some laundry done.

Doing the balancing act between two jobs can be a tedious thing to do, but so far, I'm managing ok (albeit the real work will be taking effect in the next day or so since I've just wrapped up shadowing at Sears and will be set out on my own). I asked both of my managers if I could have every Tuesday off and they had no problem with that. So, at least, I'll be able to rest, have some time to myself, and take care of business outside of work once a week. Working two jobs in one day at times will be exhausting and hard, but I'll deal with it. After all, I have to make rent, bills, etc. somehow, right? Besides, I don't wanna let Pedro, Terri, and Jamar down. I wanna do all that I can to help not only myself, but them as well.

Last night, all of us (with the exception of Pedro since he worked all day and was very understandably tired) went to the Roxy to see Sicko. After two hours of the disgusting truth being shoved in our faces, we walked out of the theater feeling absolute horror at what our government has been doing to its people and is continuing to do....but also with the hope of jumping ship and better our lives in the future. Terri and I shed many tears during the documentary and with damn good reason. It is exceedingly hard for me to be proud of being an American. In certain, small ways, I am....but when it comes to our government, our health care (or, should I say, sick care?) system, the arrogance of some of our people (most definitely our government!), and certain issues which I had to deal with growing up in the Deep South, I'm not proud; not at all.

For anyone who has any inkling of caring about current events, both in this country and around the world, please....please.....PLEASE go see this documentary. It is well worth the price of admission and beyond.

And now, I'm gonna go and get dressed, have a bite to eat with my baby, and go to work.

P.S. Being on my period sucks.

1. Lately, I've been keeping an eye on this eBay auction for a beautiful, complete bed-in-a-bag that is VERY cheap. For those of you who don't really know, bed-in-a-bags usually range anywhere from $100 to $300, depending upon the style, material, brand name, etc. and sometimes they don't even include the fitted and/or top sheets! But the one that I'm currently bidding on has everything necessary and the bid right now is at $20.50 with the shipping priced at $11.79. Though I still have a couple of days left to wait til the auction is closed, I'm hoping so much that I'll win. Also, in connection to this, Pedro and I went earlier today to Myers New and Used Furniture and took a look at a used headboard and bed frame. It's simple in design, a wee bit scuffed up, but perfectly usable. The headboard was $50 and the bed frame's a mere $25. So, I asked my baby's opinion of it and he was immediately sold. We now have it on layaway and I'm looking forward to paying it off in the weeks to come. ::Cabbit squeal of delight::

2. Going to Sears in an attempt to finish up my computer training was pretty much in vain. After 2 hours of fighting with the SLOW ASS computer system, I finally gave up. I talked with my boss and he said that I can begin shadowing on the sales floor this week, but it is preferable to complete my computer training as soon as possible. I know that getting through every lesson isn't the problem; it's the loading of said lessons on the computer that's truly the obstacle to overcome. Goddamn....and I thought my mom's dial-up was bad!

3. I just now called Jamar's house and I'm almost 100% sure that he missed the train to Essex Junction. ::sighs:: Lazy bastard. Why did I have the feeling that something like this would happen?

Anyway, more random shit at a later time.

After close to a week of not getting good sleep due to waking up with great pain in my jaw, I finally went to the ER on Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, I got in and out of there pretty quickly as there was hardly anyone waiting to be seen aside from me. The doc looked me over and prescribed to me an antibiotic and some pain killers. So far, both are working well and I hope to be free of this pain for some time, hopefully 'til I get my teeth fixed for good. ::crosses fingers::

As Pedro, Terri, and I were playing our usual Mario Party drinking game and we started to see the beautiful lightning outside, our motion-detector light on the porch came on all of a sudden. After a couple of minutes of it being on, Pedro got up to check and see what caused it to turned on. He then made a noise indicating he knew what it was and opened the door. Next thing Terri and I know, Boo comes rushing into the door, demanding attention as never before! We couldn't believe it! After roughly two weeks of him being missing, Boo finally returned home and, all in all, he seems healthy and intact. Now, we have two kitties and a ferret. I know that, very soon, both of the cats will be getting their own ID tags and collars. Thank the Gods that Boo returned home to us, safe and sound!

Now, for the shitty news. It's about a quarter past 6a.m. and the only reason I'm awake right now is due to quite a bit of pain in my jaw and neck. I know that the infection is returning and that it's only a matter of time before I need antibiotics and pain killers, if the time hasn't arrived already. I just hate the idea of going to the ER and having my debt build up even more, but....what else can I do?

In the meantime, I'm staying online and trying to keep my mind occupied until the extra strength Tylenol kicks in (I hope, I hope!) and then I can try to get some more sleep in before having to wake up to prepare for work.

Two blessings.

The past few days have certainly brought their blessings. Two, in particular. The first being our sweet, little Malachai. So far, he's been joining Pedro and I in bed every night and refuses to leave unless (A) he has to eat, (B) he has to use the litter box, or (C) we both wake up and get out of bed. He's so clingy because he's still less than three months old and his mother was killed when she was hit by a car. Since he's still adjusting to a new environment, new people, etc., he needs emotional support and someone to be around. Thus, he stays as close to the three of us in the house as possible. I'm sure that, in time, he'll come 'round to realizing that we won't abandon him and that this truly is his home.

Also, I'm hoping that he'll eat more and gain more weight as time goes on. He's still incredibly thin; you can feel his rib cage, spine, chest plate, and other bones too easily. I know that runts can be pushed away from a food source many times by older, bigger siblings and I believe such was the case with Malachai. Until we find Boo again, he'll have the food and water bowls all to himself.

It's amazing to me how much of a sweetheart this kitten actually is. He loves to perch on our shoulders and bury himself in me and Terri's hair. He's so calm and gentle....I've only known one other kitten that resembled his personality. I can't help but wonder if this loving nature of Malachai's will remain or if he'll become more independent and aloof as he matures. I suppose only time will tell.

The second blessing is news of my new second job at Sears. I attended orientation today at 5:30 and, surprisingly, it lasted until 8:50. I had no clue that it would last 3 hours and 20 minutes. At least the orientation was productive for me. Jim, the HR manager, conducted it and gave me and the other new hires the information we needed, practically went through the entire handbook in his own words, completed some necessary paperwork, and received our name tags.

A little while after getting out, Pedro gave me a call from Terri's phone; he was worried about me being gone for so long and wanted to know what was going on. I couldn't help but smile and feel so warm inside that he called and was concerned. I love my beautiful baby. ::cartoon hearts appear in her eyes::

So, I'll be returning to Sears early next week whenever I have the time available outside of Sbarro to begin training on the computer and whatnot. I'm looking forward to it and hoping I'll do well. I now have two jobs again and I pray that my finances will improve and that rent and bills will be easier for me to handle.

It was Malachai coming to join Pedro and I in bed so he wouldn't be alone. I couldn't help but smile as he climbed all over me and despite numerous attempts to gently put him down upon the floor next to the bed so I could sleep, he kept climbing back up, determined to be with us. It was so adorable. I was just afraid I would roll on top and crush the poor thing in my sleep and not realize it! If he was a larger cat, I wouldn't have worried so....but he's so tiny and fragile.

Anyways, just wanted to share the insane cuteness with everyone. Now, admire the picture, damn it!!

    <lj:music>"Release Me," Infected Mushroom</lj:music>

Today was certainly an interesting one. Both Terri and I woke up within a couple of hours of each other and, with her entering my room and taking my bed captive (heehee, she's so cute when she does that), we talked and laughed for a short while. We then finally mustered up the will to get dressed and set out on our mission: To find a new kitty! Despite the fact that we miss Boo terribly and still have hopes of finding him -- or him finding us -- as well as the fact that Boo can never be replaced, we still wanted to get a wee kitten (A) because we miss being around kittens and (B) because, due to Boo's absence, there was a serious lack of feline energy that needed to be reintroduced. Thus, off we went!

First, we went to Pet Advantage with no luck. Then, PetSmart out in Williston, which only had a couple of adult cats up for adoption. No kittens, no out-right buys. When we got back into the car, I called up PetCo on Williston Road in South Burlington to see if they had any kittens for sale. They kindly replied "no," but suggested Noah's Ark in Winooski. Since Terri had the same idea moments before, we agreed to head there next. Once we arrived, we found they had numerous kittens there, both pure-bred and non. Both of our eyes went wide when we saw that the store wanted $150 for a regular house cat....and when I say house cat, I mean a mutt, nothing of a pedigree nature. Out of their fuckin' minds, they were! Upon seeing this, Terri admitted to me that she would rather go to Plattsburgh to buy a kitten. I asked for the time; it was 2:10 and I had to be at work at 5. After a moment's thought, we decided to spring for it. Don't you just love spontaneous moments? ::cackles maniacally::

So, on we flew at high-speed to Plattsburgh and we arrived at the pet store at Skyway Shopping Center, the same store where we got our ferret, Hunter, from. We quickly went in and found several kittens together in a large cage, some vocal, some not. The most vocal was a lone Siamese cat that cost about $230 or so. The others were mutt kittens that ran for $10. At first, Terri and I were eyeing a gray kitten with white paws that seemed to gaze at us curious. And when the shopkeeper came 'round and showed us which were the males and which were females, we spotted the runt....a tiny dark tabby who was minding his own business, trying to use the litter box when the employee snatched him up rather abruptly. This irked us a bit as we wanted him to finish what he was doing. Nevertheless, he was incredibly sweet, well-behaved, and loved to climb up to our shoulders and perch there. The deal was signed, Terri got some toys for him, and we were off to return to Burlington.

He was so precious and well-behaved on the way back. As long as we didn't close him up in the cardboard box that was provided, he was absolutely fine. It was such a joy having him as we sped back to Vermont. We had to hurry because I knew time wasn't on my side; more than likely, I was going to be late for work. About ten minutes 'til, I called up my assistant manager, Rich, to warn him I would be late, but I was on my way. We took I-89 to Williston Road, got to University Mall, I hauled ass into Sbarro and clocked in at 5:00 on the dot! Many thanks to Terri for her awesome driving. I just really wish that I could've returned home with her to see Pedro's reaction at the newest addition to the family. So far, he's being adorable and sweet and he seems to be taking to his new surrounds fairly well. I know that, with time, he'll be completely at ease and comfortable with us. Now, we MUST get a collar and tag for him. Oh shit, before I forget, his name is Malachai.

The past few days have been so awesome in many different ways. Terri arrived home safe and sound from Michigan on Sunday afternoon; Jamar came to visit for a week, arriving last Friday and having left on the train roughly an hour and a half ago; Tom (me and Pedro's old co-worker/shift supervisor) came and visited for three days; on Wednesday night, Pedro, Terri, Tom, Jamar, and myself all went to the Roxy and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, thoroughly enjoying the third film of the trilogy; and our Usana party on Tuesday evening was indeed a success.

Although, now that the week is coming to a close, there are a few bittersweet moments. Jamar left to return to NYC, although (fortunately) he'll be returning on or around the 24th of June to live in Burlington, VT and enroll in UVM (YAY!!!); Tom left to return to Plattsburgh and Burger King and I honestly have no idea when the next time we'll see him be. We learned that he's to be shipped out to Afghanistan next year and will remain there for the entire year, if not longer. With all the men that have been lost in that part of the world, I'm worried that he won't return. He's a good man and I just can't envision him being a killing machine for the United States government; also, while the boys were visiting us, Terri's cat, Boo, managed to somehow get outside and he's been missing for three to four days now. I pray that he returns very soon or that we find him. We've been outside searching, around the house, around the block, in the basement and storage room....and, so far, nothing. I'm thinking we should try putting posters up in the neighborhood and also going to the Humane Society to see if anyone found him and took him there.

Well, despite this note being somewhat jumbled, I need to go and get ready for work. Hopefully, I'll managed to sit myself down within the next day or two and write some more. It's been so long since I've actually made a post.

Refreshments will be provided and if you'd like to bring over a little something to share, you're more than welcome to!

Please RSVP as soon as possible if you're interested and would like to attend. If you have any questions regarding directions or anything else, feel free to give me a call, email me, or leave a message here.

Again, the details of the party are as follows:

Hosts: Amanda Hamilton, Pedro Nuñez, and Terri Redmond.
Date: Tuesday, May 29th.
Time: 6:30pm.
Location: 15 Loomis Street, Burlington, Vermont 05401
Contact number: (912) 695-1568

Hope to see you guys here!
